Rory was raised in Glasgow and although he went to a school without a rugby programme, he joined Glasgow Hutchesons Aloysians Rugby Football Club at the age of six.

Noted for his speed he was picked up by Stirling County RFC and the Scottish Rugby Elite Development system in 2011, aged 18. He was assigned to Glasgow Warriors joining the professional squad in 2013 playing on the left wing and at fullback.

Rory was selected as part of Scotland’s Rugby World Cup training squad and made his international début for Scotland against Italy in Turin, Italy on 22 August 2015.

Where to next

Rory plans to carry on playing rugby as long as he can while staying injury free, which in this game can sometimes be easier said than done. He intends to keep training hard in order to make selection for club and country.

Health and fitness ambitions

As Rory notes: “A Rugby player’s body takes a great deal of punishment, so I need to look after myself. Nutrition is a big part of this. Bam Organic all-natural milk drinks with no refined sugar are ideal for post training and post-match recovery, oh and they taste awesome as well.”
